
Kia Toronto FC Soccer to Broadcast 21 TFC Games on GOL TV Canada in 2011

GOL TV Canada, Canada's only 24-hour sports network dedicated to soccer, announced today that it will be the Official Toronto FC broadcaster, carrying 21 Toronto FC matches during the 2011 Major League Soccer season. All GOL TV Canada Toronto FC games will be broadcast nationally in High-Definition with 14 away and seven home matches.
GOL TV Canada's extensive Kia Toronto FC coverage begins Saturday, April 9 at 10:30 p.m. ET with live coverage of Toronto FC's match against the San Jose Earthquakes at Buck Shaw Stadium. The following week LA Galaxy's David Beckham and Landon Donovan will visit BMO Field to face Toronto FC in a match that begins at 8 p.m.
Viewers will get their first look at the 2010 MLS Cup Champions on Sunday, May 22, when Toronto FC visits Dick's Sporting Goods Park to face the Colorado Rapids.
Soccer broadcaster Luke Wileman returns for another season in the broadcast booth to provide play-by-play coverage. He will share the play-by-play duties with the Fan 590's soccer broadcaster Dan Dunleavy who will fill in for Wileman for a handful of matches this season. Wileman and Dunleavy will be joined in the broadcast booth by a number of special guest colour commentators including former Toronto FC Captain and TFC Junior Academy Coach Jim Brennan and Toronto FC alumnus Danny Dichio. Andi Petrillo will also host and report during the game broadcasts.
Every Toronto FC match this season will be preceded and followed by an exclusive 30-minute pre-and-post game coverage and analysis with GOL TV's Lee Godfrey and Andi Petrillo.
GOL TV Canada will air five matches in April and May respectively, and three matches each in June, July and August, and complete its coverage with two matches in September.
