FC Cincinnati to Host Inter Miami CF in 2023 U.S. Open Cup Semifinals on August 23

FC Cincinnati will host Inter Miami CF in the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Semifinals on Wednesday, August 23 at TQL Stadium.

Full ticketing information will be announced at a later time. FC Cincinnati Season Ticket Members will have an exclusive window to purchase their seats for the match, followed by a presale for those who have made deposits on 2024 Season Tickets. CBS Sports will be the exclusive home of the 2023 Open Cup Semifinals and Final. More broadcast information and match kickoff times will be announced at a later date.

the hosting priority was determined for the 2023 U.S. Open Cup Final on Wednesday, September 27. The winner of the FC Cincinnati - Inter Miami CF fixture will face the winner of the other semifinal matchup between Houston Dynamo FC - Real Salt Lake.

The 2023 Open Cup Final host will be determined based on the hosting priority as listed below:

Real Salt Lake

Inter Miami CF

FC Cincinnati

Houston Dynamo FC

Should the Orange and Blue advance past Miami, the club will either travel to face Real Salt Lake, or host Houston Dynamo FC at TQL Stadium, in the U.S. Open Cup Final.

The 2023 Open Cup Semifinal matchup will mark FC Cincinnati's seventh all-time meeting with Inter Miami CF, the first outside of MLS regular season competition. The Orange and Blue are unbeaten in the last three meetings between the sides, including a 1-0 win over the Herons on April 1 at TQL Stadium.

Including the club's USL era, FC Cincinnati are 12-4-3 all-time in the U.S. Open Cup. This season marks the first time since 2017 that the Orange and Blue have reached the semifinals of the competition, when then the second-division side knocked off two MLS opponents before falling to the New York Red Bulls at Nippert Stadium in the penultimate round.

Since joining MLS in 2019, FC Cincinnati are 5-2-1 in Open Cup competition.

Third Round: April 26 vs Louisville City FC - W, 1-0

Round of 32: May 10 vs New York City FC - W, 1-0

Round of 16: May 23 at New York Red Bulls - T, 1-1 (W 5-3 on pens.)

Quarterfinals: June 6 vs Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC - W 3-1

Semifinals: August 23 vs Inter Miami CF

FC Cincinnati finish an eight-match stretch over 25 days on Saturday, June 10 to face Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Kickoff is set for 10:30 p.m. from BC Place, and the match will stream exclusively on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app and fans can also listen to the match locally on ESPN 1530.

The Orange and Blue return home next to TQL Stadium to host Toronto FC on Wednesday, June 21. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. and tickets are available now at FCCincinnati.com/Tickets or by calling (513) 977-5425 (KICK).
