Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Harrisburg Senators scored four in the first and three in the third to cruise to an 8-3 win over the Akron RubberDucks Sunday afternoon at FNB Field. James Wood hit a three-run home run to cap the Sens four run first inning and they scored three more in the third thanks to two Akron errors. Mitchell Parker tossed another five-inning gem to earn his ninth win. Harrisburg took five of six from Akron.
The Big Play
With a run in and two on in the bottom of the first, James Wood hit the first pitch he saw off the video board in right field to give the Senators a 4-0 lead.
On Capitol Hill
Mitchell Parker went five innings, struck out eight, walked two and allowed two hits to win his ninth game... Patrick Ruotolo and Malvin Pena both tossed scoreless innings... Odalvi Javier allowed two runs on two hits in one inning of work... Garvin Alston allowed a run on two hits in the ninth but also closed the game out.

Trey Lipscomb went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a run scored... Jacob Young had two hits including a double and a run scored... Robert Hassell III had two hits, a double, an RBI and scored a run...
