Rome, GA - The Rome Braves announce that country music duo Fast Ryde will sing the National Anthem on Opening Night April 16th.

The music of Fast Ryde serves as the perfect soundtrack for a Saturday night. With their catchy melodies, irresistible beats and soulful country voices, Fast Ryde captures the youthful anticipation of a night when anything can happen. By fearlessly defying conventional musical boundaries, James Harrison and Jody Stevens have created a cutting-edge sound that isn't easily definable. These artists and their music are truly a product of their age, a time when the younger generation is influenced more by diverse iPod shuffles than a single radio format. Scott Borchetta, a music veteran and CEO of Republic Records in Nashville, who discovered Taylor Swift, says, "Fast Ryde's music hit me as the freshest thing I've heard since Taylor's music came into my world. It's very Southern and suburban. This is right from the youthful country streets of the South, not the red dirt road. It's as addictive as Southern soul food cooking, Southern girls, four-wheel drives and Saturday night."

Rome takes on the Savannah Sand Gnats to open an eight game homestand April 16th. For more information, contact the Rome Braves at 706-378-5144 or log onto www.romebraves.com.
