Falcons Raise Over $30,000 in Jersey Auction

Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno Falcons announced today that the team raised more $30,000 in Saturday night's jersey auction. Falcons players wore special red, white, and blue jerseys in that night's game against the Long Beach Ice Dogs. The jerseys were auctioned off following the game with all proceeds benefiting the Central California Veterans Home Support Foundation.

"This total ranks as one of the top grossing jersey auctions in Fresno Falcons history," Falcons CEO John Tull said. "We will be making the official donation to the CCVHF in two weeks. Thanks to all of our loyal and generous fans for your support. A special thanks goes out to Eye Q Vision Care, Big Country 102.7, the Fresno Bee, and Comcast Cable for their support of the Rally Around Our Veterans game last Saturday."

The Falcons open a three-game road trip to Victoria on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. The game can be heard live on the Internet at www.fresnofalcons.com starting with the Port of Subs Pre-Game Show at 6:55. The game will air on 1550 Sporting News Radio on a tape-delayed basis following high school football.

Fresno returns to Save Mart Center to open a six-game home stand on Wednesday, November 15 as the Falcons host the Utah Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. It's Ladies Night, with the first 750 ladies in attendance receiving free Falcons boxer shorts courtesy of Gottschalk's, Alice 96.7, and KMPH Fox 26. There will be prize giveaways throughout the game including a Gottschalk's shopping spree, dinner with a Falcon, free lasik from Eye Q Vision Care, a painting of Falcons' captain Matt O'Dette by Fresno Artist Dora Mora of Art by Dora, and one lucky lady will win the chance to do the weather with Kopi on the Fox 26 Great Day morning show.
