Victoria, British Columbia - The Fresno Falcons ended their three-game series on Sunday, falling to the Victoria Salmon Kings 3-1 in front of 4,727 fans at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre.

After over 32 minutes of scoreless action, Victoria got on the board with a power-play goal 12:40 into the second period. Dylan Yeo's shot was stopped by Kris Mayotte, but Wes Goldie picked up the rebound on the far post, and flipped a shot over Mayotte's glove for his 18th goal of the season.

The Salmon Kings extended their lead to 2-0 3:36 into the third period as Paul Ballantyne took a shot from the right point that eluded Mayotte' reach for his sixth goal of the season, all against the Falcons.

Fresno got on the board, and pulled within one at 6:49. Julien Ellis turned aside the initial shot from Jarrett Konkle, but Daryl Marcoux pinched in from the blue line, and poked a loose puck across the line for his third of the year.

Goldie added his second of the night at 15:43 to give Victoria a two-goal lead. Jordan Krestanovich poked the puck ahead to Goldie who skated in alone on Mayotte, who got a glove on the shot, but the puck trickled behind him and into the net.

The Falcons out-shot the Salmon Kings 43-29, but Ellis finished with 42 saves to give Victoria the win.

Fresno returns home on Friday, hosting the Idaho Steelheads at 7:30 p.m. The first 2,000 fans in attendance receive a Falcons All-Star Poster courtesy of Dumont Printing, ABC 30, 95.7 The Fox, and the Central California Business Incubator.
