Everblades slice road-weary Sea Wolves 3-1

BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves (17-21-1-2) lost by a 3-1 score at home against the Florida Everblades on Sunday nigth.

Florida got an early lead at 3:10 of the first period when Mike McLean pushed a rebound past Sea Wolves goaltender Ryan Munce, who had his eight-game personal win streak broken.

The Sea Wolves evened the score at one when Mark Hurtubise found the rebound of Lance Monych's shot and tucked it into the corner of the net pas Florida goaltender Justin Peters at 5:38 of the second period. Florida regained the lead at 11:56 of the second when Derek Damon fired a one-timer past Ryan Munce with the Everblades on the power play.

Ernie Hartlieb added an insurance goal, blasting a feed from Damon past Munce at the 19:07 mark of the third period while Mississippi's Chase Trull was in the penalty box for charging.

Mississippi finished the game 1-for-4 on the power play, and Ryan Munce made 43 in the loss.
