Falcons Beat Devils 4-1, In Second Place In Atlantic Division

The Springfield Falcons beat the Lowell Devils 4-1 on Friday night at the Paul Tsongas Arena. The Falcons used three second period goals from Liam Reddox, Marc Pouliot and Jean-Francois Jacques to take command of Friday's contest. Springfield is now 12-7-1-3 good for 28 points in the Atlantic Division standings and the Falcons have won two straight games.
The Falcons started the scoring early in the middle frame when Reddox added his second marker of the game at 3:19 of the second period giving Springfield a 2-1 lead. The Falcons extended their advantage to 3-1 when Pouliot scored his fifth goal of the year at 6:06 of the middle period. Springfield took a 4-1 lead at 18:43 of the second period when Jacques tallied on the man advantage.
Reddox opened the scoring for the Falcons just three minutes into the first period on the power play. Lowell's Olli Malmivaara evened the score at 1-1 when he tallied his first of the year at 11:21 of the first period.
