Springfield Falcons News Release
Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, are proud to announce that they have partnered with the March of Dimes and Clear Channel Radio/KIX 979.9 for March of Dimes Night at the NEST, Friday, January 4, 2008.
"We are so excited to have March of Dimes as our game sponsor on January 4th," said Carole Appleton, Assistant to the GM. "We are looking forward to not only recognize the hard work of the March of Dimes volunteers, but assisting them in raising funds for such an important cause."
The March of Dimes Night will include: the premiere of the March of Dimes "March for Babies" Video; "March for Babies" team captain annual meeting and recognition, prizes provided by Clear Channel Radio/KIX 97.9, and a special $11 ticket for youth and adults, with a portion of the proceeds going back to the March of Dimes.
"The Springfield Falcons and KIX 97.9 have been such great supporters of the March of Dimes and our cause," said Carrie Fuller, Western MA Division Director. "The Falcons are all about family fun and it makes perfect sense to team up with them to make this event a night to remember."
The March of Dimes' mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. They carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives. March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects, low birthweight.
Tickets are available on-line at www.marchofdimes.com, www.kix979.com, and www.falconsahl.com.
