"We are once again very pleased with our scheduling format for the 2008-09 season," said Falcons president and general manager Bruce Landon. "Our travel schedule will once again allow our players and coaches a tremendous amount of practice time, an aspect of the game that is very important to our National Hockey League affiliate, the Edmonton Oilers."

The Falcons will also play a total of 16 contests against teams in the East Division giving Springfield a total of 76 Eastern Conference matchups for the 2008-09 campaign. Springfield will play the Albany River Rats (CAR) and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (NYI) four times each, while facing the Binghamton Senators (OTT), Hershey Bears (WAS), Philadelphia Phantoms (PHI) and Norfolk Admirals (TB) twice. The only Eastern Conference team Springfield will not play will be the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (PIT).
