2008 Penguins Schedule Format Released

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins schedule of opponents for the 2008-09 season was announced on Friday. The Penguins will play an unbalanced, 80-game schedule (40 home/40 away), featuring 18 different opponents.

Highlights on the home schedule include the first visits from the Houston Aeros and San Antonio Rampage since the 2002-03 season, return engagements for the Hartford WolfPack and Grand Rapids Griffins, and a combined 10 games with intrastate rivals from Hershey and Philadelphia.

The Penguins will play 50 games (25 home/25 road) against East Division opponents, 10 against Atlantic Division foes (5 home/5 road), 16 against North Division teams (8 home/8 road) and four against the West Division (2 home/2 road). A complete breakdown of total games against each team is included below (home and road games split evenly for each opponent):
