Orlando Solar Bears News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears are proud to announce that forward Eric Faille has been selected as the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Feb. 27-March 5.
Faille, 27, scored three goals and added four assists for seven points in two games against Greenville last week. Orlando's alternate captain recorded four points (1g-3a) in a 7-5 loss on Thursday, and followed that up with a three-point (2g-1a) performance in Saturday's 5-3 victory, registering the game-winning tally and assisting on Brenden Miller's empty-net goal to pass Jacob Cepis as the new franchise leader in points with 113 (44g-69a).
A native of Lachine, Quebec, Faille leads the Solar Bears with 53 points (20g-33a) in 43 games this season. The 6-foot, 180-pound forward is playing this season under contract with the Toronto Marlies - Orlando's American Hockey League affiliate - where he has added three points (1g-2a) in 11 games.
The third-year pro has posted 167 points (71g-96a) in 144 career ECHL games with Orlando and Fort Wayne and has 19 points (10g-9a) in 47 career games with Toronto and Texas.
