Round Rock Express News Release

ROUND ROCK - The Omaha Royals continued their early season reign over the Express on Friday, picking up their fourth straight win against Round Rock in as many meetings this season.

The Express, which had put up six ore more runs in three of its last four games, scratched out six hits in a 5-2 loss at The Dell Diamond.

Humberto Quintero went 2-for-3 and right-hander Chad Reineke worked 6 1/3 innings for the Express, allowing four earned runs on eight hits and five strikeouts without a walk. Matt Wright, from Lorena, Texas, picked up his first win in nine starts for Omaha, working six innings and allowing two runs.

J.R. House gave the Express a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second, depositing his third home run of the year onto the grassy hill beyond left field.

Ray Sadler added to the score with a solo-homer off Matt Wright to start the fifth as Reineke mowed through Omaha's line-up.

Reineke, who allowed one run on five hits over seven innings against Iowa on May 18, dispatched the Royals in order in the third, fourth and fifth innings before running into trouble in the sixth.

Chris Lubanski led the inning off with a homer to left and Mitch Maier followed with a double to right. He came around to even the score 2-2 on an error and a single.

Omaha opened the seventh with two singles before Mike Stodolka laid a bunt down on the left side. Reineke picked up the slow roller and tried to make the throw to first, but his effort sailed wide and allowed Jason Smith to score the go-ahead run from second.

Reineke picked up a strike out before Maier drove in two more with a single to right-center.

The two teams face off again Saturday at 7:05 p.m. at The Dell Diamond. Nolan Ryan Angels statues will go out to the first 3,000 fans.
