SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The AirHogs fell to the Sioux City Explorers 16-8 at Lewis and Clark Park Saturday. The X's used a 6-run bottom of the 4th and a 4-run bottom of the 8th to win going away.
The AirHogs took an early 2-0 lead against Sioux City starter Jordan Risse on 3 walks and a hit by pitch in the top of the 1st. But the Explorers responded with a 4-run bottom of the 1st vs. AirHogs starter Palmer Betts to quickly reclaim the advantage.
The AirHogs scored 3 times in the 3rd and added another 3 in the 4th on RBI doubles by Austin Gallagher and Mike Miller to make it 8-4.
