ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades closed out this past week's three-game home stand vs. Greenville with a 1-1-1 record. The Everblades enter this week with a record of 27-22-3 (57 pts., 2nd South Division).

Wednesday, Friday & Saturday, February 9, 11 & 12 at Cincinnati Cyclones All Games: 7:30 p.m.

GAME NOTES: The Everblades take to the road this week for three games at Cincinnati against the defending Kelly Cup Champion Cyclones. The games are the final three of eight between the clubs this season. So far this year the Everblades have a 2-2-1 record vs. Cincinnati. The last time the teams met, the Cyclones won three straight at Germain Arena the first week of January. Both of Florida's wins against the Cyclones this year came at US Bank Arena in early December. The Everblades hold an all-time record of 6-4-2 vs. Cincinnati and are 4-1-1 all-time on the road vs. the Cyclones. Entering this week Cincinnati is winless in their last three games and holds an overall record of 19-19-8 (46 pts., T-2nd North Division) and is 9-11-3 at home.

Player of the Week Nominee: This week's Player of the Week nominee is Ross Carlson who posted five points (2g, 3a) in three games this past week, notching a power play and short-handed goal against Greenville.

Special Teams Breakdown: Entering this week, here's a look at the Everblades power play and penalty killing: On the power play the Everblades rank 7th in the ECHL at 18.6 % (49-of-264)...at home the Blades are ranked 8th in the league at 18.3 % (22-of-120)...on the road the Everblades rank 8th at 18.8 % (27-of-144). On the penalty kill the Everblades find themselves 3rd in the ECHL at 85.6 % (208-of-243)...at home the Everblades enter the week ranked 8th at 84.3 % (102-of-121)...on the road the Blades are currently 2nd at 86.9 % (106-of-122).

Roster Moves: The Everblades had an addition to their roster before their game on Saturday, signing forward Ian McDonald. The 25-year-old joins the Everblades after beginning the 2010-11 season in England with the Nottingham Panthers. McDonald posted 30 points (14g, 16a) in 28 games with Nottingham, where he was teammates with former Everblades Craig Kowalski and Corey Neilson. Additionally, today goaltender Jaroslav Janus was re-assigned to the Everblades from the AHL's Norfolk Admirals.

League Leaders: Coming into tonight's game Everblades forward Francis Lemieux continues leading the ECHL in scoring with his 63 points and is now second in the league in goals with 26 and finds himself second in the ECHL in assists with his 37. Forward Alex Imbeault currently leads the league lead in goals scored with 27 and leading the ECHL in power play goals with 13. Goaltender Bobby Goepfert is tied for the league lead in wins with 19 and is second in the ECHL in saves with 1020.

Who's Hot: Several Everblades are currently riding hot streaks. F Francis Lemieux has tallied at least one point in five straight games (6g, 5a)...F Alex Imbeault has recorded a point in three of the last four games he's played in (3g, 3a)...F Matt Beca has picked up points in three of the last four games he's played in (1g, 4a)...F Ross Carlson is currently riding a five-game point scoring streak (2g, 5a)...D David Fischer has notched a point in six of the last nine games (2g, 5a).

Single-Season Team Records: A few players on this year's squad are approaching Everblade all-time single-season records with their numbers. F Francis Lemieux is just seven points shy of cracking the top 10 in points which currently stands at 70. Lemieux is also four goals and eight assists away from being in the top 10 of those two categories...F Alex Imbeault enters this week four goals shy of moving into 10th all-time and is two power play goals away from moving into second all-time in power play goals in one year...G Bobby Goepfert is quickly moving toward the top 10 in a couple single-season goaltending categories finding himself one game away from cracking the top 10 and one win shy of moving into 10th all-time.

Relief in sight!: Entering this week the Everblades have played the most games of any team in the ECHL at 52. If you include this week's three games at Cincinnati the Blades will have played a minimum of three games each week for 13 of the last 14 weeks dating back to the week of November 7. Following this three-game trip at Cincinnati the Everblades will play only two games a week in four of the next five weeks.

Pink in the Rink!: In less than a month the Everblades will be holding their annual "Pink in the Rink" weekend. On February 18 & 19 when the Blades host the Gwinnett Gladiators, the Everblades will team up with local cancer charities to help raise money and awareness in the fight against cancer. The team will wear special jerseys that will be auctioned off live following the game on Saturday, February 19, with proceeds benefiting local SW Florida cancer charities. Additionally Radiology Regional Center will be on hand for Saturday's game and will have their state-of-the-art Mobile Mammo Coach outside the arena from 5-7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for these games!
