
Everblades to hold annual Teddy Bear Toss

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades have announced that on Saturday, December 11, 2004 the organization will hold their annual "Teddy Bear Toss" when the 'Blades host the South Carolina Stingrays at Germain Arena at 7:30 p.m.
Fans are asked to bring a soft stuffed toy with them to the game on Saturday night, and toss it onto the ice after the Everblades score their first goal of the night! Once the teddy bears are collected, they will be distributed by the Everblades players and staff to Healthpark Children's Hospital and other area charities benefiting less fortunate children. This year the Blades will be partnering up with the Salvation Army to help reach even more families throughout the community. The Everblades have been holding this annual holiday tradition for the past five years, and each year fans have tossed around 3,000 teddy bears on the ice to benefit children in the area.
Game On! The Florida Everblades begin a five-game home stand on Friday, December 10 at 7:30 PM when they take on the South Carolina Stingrays at Germain Arena.
