Everblades Taylor gets call to AHL

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forward Adam Taylor has been recalled by the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

The call-up is the first in Taylor's career as he heads to Rochester with 52 points (21g, 31a) in 61 combined games this season between the Victoria Salmon Kings, Pensacola Ice Pilots and the Everblades. The 22-year-old began the season with the Salmon Kings where he picked up six points (1g, 5a) in 15 games before being traded to the Ice Pilots where he notched 11 points (3g, 8a) in 15 more games. The Everblades acquired the Campbell River, BC native on January 3 in a deal that sent Niko Tuomi to the Ice Pilots.

Since joining the Everblades Taylor has flourished averaging over a point a game with 35 points (17g, 18a) in 31 games. The former Carolina Hurricanes draft pick in 2002 has picked up points in five of his last six games, scoring four goals and three assists in that span.

Taylor began his professional career last season with the Salmon Kings where he skated in all 72 games and picked up 57 points, and earned a spot on the 2006 National Conference All-Star squad. Prior to turning pro, Taylor spent five seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Kootenay Ice, scoring 183 points in 324 career games.
