Everblades Sign Van Buskirk

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush in coordination with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced that they have signed defenseman Ryan Van Buskirk.
Van Buskirk, 29, has played in one game with Florida this season. The physical defenseman was held scoreless and registered two minutes in penalties. This will be Van Buskirk's fourth stint overall with the Florida Everblades. He spent parts of three seasons with the Everblades in 2003-04, 2006-07 and 2007-08. He has appeared in a total of 112 games with the 'Blades and scored 41 points (6g, 35a) with 288 penalty minutes.
The Sault Saint Marie, Ontario native has appeared in a total of 375 regular season professional contests and scored 16 goals and 78 assists with 911 penalty minutes. He has skated for three different ECHL clubs including; Florida, Gwinnett and Richmond.
The Florida Everblades continues their season high, 11-game road trip this Friday in Elmira, New York. The 'Blades battle the Jackals Friday and Saturday night in First Arena at 7:35 p.m. Florida will then travel to Reading, Pennsylvania for a Sunday afternoon contest against the Royals in the Sovereign Center. Face off between the Everblades and Royals is at 5:05 p.m.
