Ducks Reassign McCue To Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, announced today the Ducks reassigned F Matt McCue to the Condors, from the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League. McCue is expected to make his Condors debut on Friday against Stockton.

McCue, 21, has appeared in 10 games with the Moose this season, recording one goal and 24 penalty minutes, though he has been sidelined by injury since Nov. 13.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound rookie hails from Cochrane, Alberta, and played five seasons of juniors in the Western Hockey League. He amassed 195 penalty minutes in each of his final two seasons in the WHL, and his best statistical campaign came last season, when he had 6g-19a-25pts in 61 games. McCue has been versatile as well, and predominantly played defense in juniors. In 247 career games in the WHL, McCue had 15g-48a-63pts and 625 penalty minutes.

The Condors host the Stockton Thunder Friday night at 7 p.m. for Team Flag Giveaway Night.
