Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers fell short of a comeback against the Florida Everblades tonight, edged 5-3 after closing a three-goal deficit.
Just 83 seconds into tonight's game, Everblades forward John Henrion beat Wranglers goalie Travis Fullerton for a quick 1-0 lead. The score carried over into the second, and Henrion posted his second goal of the game 3:49 into the period. Las Vegas went on a five-minute penalty kill minutes later, and ended up in a three-goal hole as Everblades forward Matthew Pistilli notched his sixth goal of the season.
With five seconds left on the penalty kill, Wranglers forward Matt Tassone put the home team on the board with a shorthanded goal. Less than two minutes later, Everblades forward Brandon MacLean reclaimed the three-goal lead for Florida, making it a 4-1 game.
Midway through the third period, Wranglers defenseman Jeff May tallied back-to-back goals to cut Florida's lead to 4-3. With Fullerton pulled for the man advantage, Pistilli found the back of the empty net to secure the 5-3 win for the Everblades.
This weekend sees the Fort Wayne Komets come to town for a three-game series which starts Friday, Nov. 1. With only three home games in November, the Wranglers will support and give back to the local community in two ways by holding their fifth annual "Stuff The Bus" food drive in honor of Three Square Food Bank. The team will also give active and retired military members free admission all weekend.
Season tickets for the Wranglers' 11th season are on sale now. The Wranglers offer flexible payment options on all plans, and 2013-14 packages start at just $200. Full season tickets can be reserved for as low as 25 percent down, and include benefits such as buddy passes, exclusive team events, and merchandise discounts.
