Domingue Gets the Call to the AHL

DULUTH, Ga. - The Gwinnett Gladiators on Wednesday announced that goaltender Louis Domingue has been reassigned to the team's American Hockey League affiliate, the Portland Pirates by the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League.

Domingue (pronounced LOO-ee DOE-ming), 21, had a 3.01 goals against average and a .887 save percentage in three appearances with the Gladiators so far this season. TheMont St-Hilarie, Quebec native had a stellar 2012-13 campaign in Gwinnett, posting a 23-9-2 record with a 2.69 goals against average and a .904 save percentage.

This is Domingue's second career callup to the AHL. Last season he spent part of February with the Pirates, appearing in two games and picking up his first career AHL win (1-0, 2.40, .931). Domingue was a fifth round choice (#138 overall) of the Coyotes in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

The Gladiators are members of the ECHL, the nation's premier "AA" hockey league and are affiliated with the Phoenix Coyotes of the NHL. All home games are played at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
