Everblades Annual Teddy Bear Toss Game Set for December 10

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades will be holding their annual holiday "Teddy Bear Toss" presented by IBERIABANK on Saturday, December 10 against the Elmira Jackals beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Germain Arena. Additionally, there will be a Build-A-Bear Auction featuring stuffed toys designed and made by Everblades players following the game.
The Everblades ask all fans to bring an unwrapped stuffed toy, or teddy bear to the game and toss it onto the ice when the Everblades score their first goal. All the stuffed toys will then find homes with patients at the Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida and other local charities. Over 6,000 bears were donated and collected during this wonderful promotion last season.
Earlier this week the Everblades players spent time creating and designing their own specialty bears at the Build-A-Bear Workshop at the Coastland Center Mall in Naples. These unique stuffed toys will be part of a live auction following Saturday's Teddy Bear Toss game. All proceeds from the charity auction will benefit the Deb Kelsey Fund, The Ronald McDonald House, and the Piper Buckley Foundation.
The fun begins at 5:00 p.m. for the McDonald's Tailgate Party which will feature live music on the Comcast Stage by Common Ground, as well as bounce houses and face painting for the kids! Saturday's game is also a Family 4-Pack Night. Receive 4 Tickets, 4 hot dogs, and 4 sodas for the great value price of just $56.
On Friday, December 9 when the Blades battle the Jackals beginning at 7:30 p.m. fans may receive a buy one get one free ticket offer if they bring an unopened toy to donate to Toys for Tots. Fans should bring the toy to the Toys for Tots table located outside to receive their buy one get one ticket voucher that can be redeemed directly at the Capital Bank Office at Germain Arena for this particular game. Toys will then be distributed throughout the holiday season to deserving families.
