Sinkewich Named AMI Graphics Plus Performer for November

Alaska Aces defenseman Russ Sinkewich was named the AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for November, the Aces and ECHL announced on Thursday afternoon. Sinkewich led the league with a plus-minus rating of +15 during the month of November. Alaska finished with an 8-2-2 record in Alaska, and has points seven straight, and in 10 of their last 11 games. The Aces return to the ice in Bakersfield on Friday and Saturday to finish their eight-game road trip. They return to the Sullivan Arena on December 7th. Sinkewich, 26, was even or better in all 11 games in November, including back-to-back games where he was +3 on Nov. 13 against Ontario and on Nov. 18 at Idaho. On three occasions during the month he was +2. The Westlake, OH native has four points (2g, 2a) in 18 games this season, and is tied for second in the league in plus-minus at +12, trailing only teammate Steve Ward.

The 6'4", 219 lbs. Sinkewich has 28 points (6g, 22a) in 146 career ECHL games with Alaska and Johnstown and has one assist in 12 career American Hockey League games with Lake Erie, Milwaukee and Abbotsford. He tallied two assists in nine Kelly Cup Playoff games last year, helping the Aces to their second Kelly Cup championship in team history.

In recognition of his accomplishment, AMI Graphics will present Sinkewich with a personalized Plus Performer of the Month Banner during an on-ice ceremony at an upcoming Aces' home game.
