Potomac Nationals News Release
WOODBRIDGE, Va. - The Potomac Nationals announced after their 9-6 victory, and three-game sweep, of the Kinston Indians, that P-Nats' shortstop Danny Espinosa will appear on MASN on Monday evening during the Washington Nationals' pregame show as well as throughout the rest of the broadcast.
The Nationals welcome their division rival New York Mets to town with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 ET.
Espinosa will be interviewed during Nats Xtra, the pregame show on MASN, which begins at 6:30 ET, and the Long Beach State product will also be a guest during the broadcast of the actual game. He will also appear on the radio broadcast of the contest.
In 2009, Espinosa is hitting .258 with nine home runs and 44 RBI in 87 games for the P-Nats. He is second on the team in on-base percentage with a mark of .368, and has stolen 15 bases as well as playing stellar defense.
Espinosa just returned from the All-Star Futures Game, which kicked off the Major League Baseball All-Star Break in St. Louis. The game featured the top prospects in all of minor league baseball with the World team clipping the U.S. squad by the score of 7-5. The shortstop was selected to play for the U.S. team and played in all seven innings of the contest. Already ranked as the number one shortstop prospect in the Washington system, Espinosa is starting to garner national attention for his accomplishments on the field.
The P-Nats get an off day before hitting the road once again after finishing up a 6-1 homestand. The trip will take the team through Lynchburg and Salem for six games.
You can catch all the action live on www.potomacnationals.com with Dan McGinn and Anthony Masterson starting with the pregame show 20 minutes before first pitch.
Join the party all season long at Pfitzner Stadium with the Potomac Nationals! Single game tickets and mini-plans for the 2009 season are still available. For more information, call (703) 590-2311 or visit www.potomacnationals.com.
