(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos today announced the signing of free agent quarterback Scott Eyster.
The former Delta State standout is the most prolific passer in the history of the Gulf South Conference, establishing new conference records for passing (13,889), pass attempts (1644), TDs (128) and total offence (14,342). As a senior in 2006, Eyster (pro: Eye-ster) posted career best numbers completing 298 of 489 passes for 3, 926 yards, 36 TDs and 7 INTs. In 2007, Eyster attended mini-camps for both the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets.
