Eskimo cornerback Malcolm Frank earns Defensive Player of the Week honours

(Edmonton) - While the final outcome in last Friday's game at Hamilton wasn't a desirable one for the Eskimos, veteran cornerback Malcolm Frank entered the CFL record book and earned Defensive Player of the Week honours with his fifth interception return for a touchdown this season. Frank also had eight tackles on the night in addition to his 45-yard, second quarter sprint to the end zone. Former Eskimo, Joe Hollimon set the previous mark of four in 1978.
This is Frank's second CFL Defensive Player of the Week award this season. He also picked up the honours after his two-interception, five tackle performance in Week 10 versus the Saskatchewan Roughriders. His 48-yard return for a touchdown of a Henry Burris second quarter pass gave the Esks a lead which they would not relinquish.
