Errors Haunt Suns in 11-4 Loss to Kannapolis

Hagerstown, MD - The Hagerstown Suns (74-51/32-24) committed five errors in their 11-4 loss against the Kannapolis Intimidators (57-69/24-42)at Municipal Stadium on Monday Night.

Suns' starter Dixon Anderson (0-1) suffered the loss in his Hagerstown debut, giving up five runs (two earned) on three hits and two walks in just 0.2 innings of work. The Suns committed three first inning errors to aid the Kannapolis attack.

Second baseman Khayyan Norfork extended his hitting streak to six games with a first inning single while left fielder Caleb Ramsey went 1-for-3 with a two-run double at the plate.

Intimidators' reliever Max Peterson (1-1) earned the win pitching four scoreless innings while allowing just one hit. Starter Jarrett Casey did not factor in the decision. Center fielder Courtney Hawkins led the Kannapolis offense by going 4-for-6 with three doubles and an RBI.

The Suns will play game two of the series with Kannapolis on Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m. when RHP Blake Schwartz (1-1, 3.29) takes the mound against the Intimidators' LHP Matt Lane (3-5, 4.97).
