February 9, 2018 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Kelowna Rockets News Release
Kelowna Rockets announced today that forward Erik Gardiner has joined the team on their road trip and will be returning to the lineup on Friday night against the Victoria Royals.
Gardiner returns to the ice in a Rockets uniform for the first time since sustaining an injury in late October.
The Humboldt, SK native has missed 39 games since he was struck on the helmet by a puck while attempting to block a shot late in the third period of a 4-3 overtime victory.
Gardiner is a welcome addition to the Rockets lineup as they take on the Victoria Royals on Friday and Saturday night in Victoria. Puck drop for both of those matchups is at 7:05pm.
Kelowna then heads home to host the Royals for the final time this regular season on Monday afternoon for a Family Day B.C. Division battle. Puck drop on Monday afternoon is at 2:05pm. There will be face painters in action, along with kids and family prizes to be won.
Tickets are available for Rockets home games through selectyourtickets.com, at the Prospera Place box office or by phone at 250-762-5050.
