ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

Tonight, the SeaWolves look to avenge a series opening loss to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays) as they take the field in the middle game of a three-game set at Jerry Uht Park. The Fisher Cats won the series opener 8-1 in a rain-shortened game on Friday. Last night's loss dropped the 'Wolves to 11 games under .500, 12.5 games behind first place Bowie. Erie is 5-5 in the last 10 games...The 'Cats enter tonight's game in sixth place in the Northern Division, 17 games behind first place Trenton. A win in either of the next two games for Erie will insure their first non-losing season series against New Hampshire since 2005...First baseman Ryan Roberson returns to the SeaWolves after spending seven games with Triple-A Toledo. Roberson hit .240 (6x25) with an RBI...Former SeaWolf right handed pitcher Eddie Bonine makes his Major League debut today for Detroit. Bonine is the 11th player from the 2007 club to be on a Major League roster at some point this season...Righty Ben Fritz takes the mound for the Howlers, making his ninth start of the season. Fritz took a loss in his last start, his first since coming off the disabled list, against New Hampshire. Fritz was limited to a 75-pitch outing and went 3.1 innings, allowing three runs on five hits with three walks and two strikeouts...Lefty Brett Cecil takes the mound for the Fisher Cats. He beat Erie in his last start going six innings, allowing a run on three hits with no walks and six strikeouts. The lone run he gave up was a HR to Deik Scram.
