Tonight, the SeaWolves look for consecutive wins as they take on the Harrisburg Senators (Washington Nationals) in the opening game of a three-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the 'Wolves completed a series win over Portland, taking down the Sea Dogs 10-1 in the rubber game of the set. Erie put up 19 runs over the three games against the Dogs and the series. It was Erie's first home series win since taking two of three from New Hampshire June 15-17... Today, righty Chad Green makes his 22nd start of the season and second against the Senators. He took a loss in his first start against Harrisburg on July 11 allowing four runs, two earned, on nine hits with two walks and five strikeouts in 5.1 innings. Green earned his first win since May 20 in his last start on August 2 in New Britain. In the game, he allowed a run on six hits with a walk and five strikeouts in five innings of work. It was also the first time since June 16 that the SeaWolves scored more than three runs behind Green... RHP John Simms takes the mound for the Senators making his third start and first against Erie. Simms earned a win in his last start at Portland on August 1. In the game, he allowed two runs on six hits with three walks and three strikeouts in six innings. Simms began the season in Class-A Potomac where he made 15 appearances, 14 starts, posting a 6-6 record and 2.74 ERA. Simms was a teammate of SeaWolves starter Austin Kubitza at Rice University.
