OVERVIEW - The SeaWolves come home for a three-game weekend series against the Akron Aeros. The 'Wolves are coming off their first series victory against the Bowie Baysox. On Wednesday, the SeaWolves won 5-3 in 10 innings and on Thursday, Erie took a 5-1 victory in a rain shortened five-inning game.

The Aeros swept the SeaWolves in the first series between these two teams. All three games were highly competitive with the 'Wolves losing the first and third games of the series each by one run.
The second series between the two squads was plagued by rain. The first two games of the series were postponed and the two teams played a doubleheader in the final day of the three-game set. In game one, Humberto Sanchez tossed a gem going six scoreless picking up his fourth win of the season. Game two of the double-dip went to extra innings with the SeaWolves picking up the win thanks to Kody Kirkland RBI double in extra innings.
Both teams in the season series have been unable to protect their home field advantage with the SeaWolves taking a two-game sweep at Canal Park and the Aeros taking a three-game sweep a week prior at Jerry Uht Park.
