ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

Tonight, the SeaWolves look to make it back-to-back wins as they take on the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates) in the third game of a four-game series at Blair County Ballpark...Last night, the SeaWolves snapped a season-long eight game road losing streak and a 13-game road losing streak dating back to 2009 with a 6-4 win over the Curve. The win brings the SeaWolves to within five games of the .500 mark. The Howlers were the last team in the EL to pick up a road victory...Following last night's game, OF Deik Scram was transferred to Triple-A Toledo. OF Chris White has joined the 'Wolves from Class-A Lakeland. White ended the 2009 season with Erie. In 10 games with the Flying Tigers this season, White was hitting .200 with a triple, no home runs and no RBI...Lefty Jon Kibler takes the mound tonight for the 'Wolves making his fourth start of the season and first against the Curve. Kibler has been sharp through his first three starts and he picked up his first win in his last against Bowie. In that game, he went a season-high seven innings, allowing three runs, two earned, on five hits with a walk and four strikeouts. Kibler has allowed just four earned runs in his first 18.0 innings pitched...Righty Michael Crotta takes the mound for the Curve. Crotta is making his fourth start and first against Erie. He picked up a win in his last start at Akron going 6.1 innings, allowing three runs on nine hits with no walks and a pair of strikeouts. Crotta made five starts against the SeaWolves in 2009 and was 1-0 with a 4.56 ERA.

- Erie leads the season series over Altoona 3-2. The SeaWolves and Curve meet 20 times in 2010." Defensively, the 'Wolves have committed 18 errors through 15 games which is the most in the EL. Erie has committed at least one error in 12 of the 15 games played." The 'Wolves have hit into 16 double plays which is the second-most in the EL. Only Akron has hit into more DP's (17)." The SeaWolves are tied for second in the EL with 19 stolen bases. - Max St. Pierre is tied atop the EL, throwing out potential base stealers at a rate of 54.5 percent." The SeaWolves are hitting .294 in five games against Altoona." Chris White has been added to the Erie roster...OF Deik Scram has been transferred to Triple-A Toledo.
