Energy Release Weekend Heavy 2010-11 Schedule

DES MOINES, IA, August 9, 2010 - The Iowa Energy open their 2010-11 home schedule on Saturday, November 20th as they host the Dakota Wizards at 7:00 pm at Wells Fargo Arena. The home schedule features 20 weekend home games, the most in the Energy's four year history.

"We couldn't be more happy with our schedule. With 20 of our 24 home games on the weekend, this is our most fan-friendly schedule yet. Our fans love the weekend games, and this schedule is extremely conducive to season ticket holders looking for affordable entertainment during the winter months in Des Moines," said Energy General Manager Chris Makris.

"Our promotional schedule is being finalized as we speak. Similar to past seasons, we will bring in some of the top shows in the NBA to perform during halftime for our fans. Our plan is to provide even more entertainment than ever before," said Makris.

The Energy will also take part in the 2011 NBA D-League Showcase that will take place from Jan. 10-13 in South Padre Island, Texas. The Seventh Annual Showcase features all 16 D-League teams who will play two games each in front of scouts and executives from NBA teams.

Also highlighting the 2010-11 NBA D-League Schedule is the All-Star Game and Dream Factory which is part of NBA Jam Session presented by adidas at NBA All-Star 2011 in Los Angeles, CA.

Fans can purchase ticket packages for Energy games at the Energy office now by calling 515-564-8550 or logging onto IowaNBA.com. Great seats for the 2010-11 season are available starting at just $199 per seat. Group ticket packages are also available starting at just $8 per seat for groups of 20 or more.
