Dakota Wizards Announce 2010-11 Season Schedule

BISMARCK, N.D. (Aug. 7, 2010) - The Dakota Wizards open their 2010-11 season in the NBA Development League on Friday, November 19 at 7 p.m. CST when they host the Iowa Energy at the Bismarck Civic Center.
The Wizards-Energy contest is the first of 50 regular season games for Dakota, 24 of which will take place at the Bismarck Civic Center. The Wizards will play 24 road games and will also play two games at the 2011 NBA D-League Showcase that will take place from Jan. 10-13 at The South Padre Island Convention Center in South Padre Island, Texas.
Dakota plays 18 of its 24 home games on the weekend and is highlighted by the Wizards annual New Year's Eve game on Friday, Dec. 31 against the Iowa Energy. The weekend games will feature eight Friday evening games, five Saturday evening games and five Sunday games that will tip-off at 3pm
Also highlighting the 2010-11 NBA D-League Schedule is the fifth annual NBA D-League All-Star Game and the Dream Factory skills competition, which will take place as part of NBA Jam Session presented by adidas at NBA All-Star 2011 in Los Angeles.
For the second consecutive year, the NBA D-League will feature two conferences, East and West, with the Texas Legends replacing the Los Angeles D-Fenders in the Western Conference. The Eastern Conference will consist of the Dakota Wizards, Erie BayHawks, Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Iowa Energy, Maine Red Claws, Sioux Falls Skyforce and Springfield Armor, while the Western Conference includes the Austin Toros, Bakersfield Jam, Idaho Stampede, New Mexico Thunderbirds, Reno Bighorns, Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Texas Legends, Tulsa 66ers and Utah Flash.
