
Energy Close out Road Trip with Win over Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz, CA - The Iowa Energy defeated the Santa Cruz Warriors 133-120 on Saturday night.
The Energy jumped out to the early lead in the first quarter behind guard Curtis Stinson. Stinson had 9 of his 20 points in the quarter to help give Iowa the 36-28 lead after one.
The Warriors battled back in the second quarter and cut Iowa's lead to four heading into the half. The Energy led 66-62 with one half to play.
The two teams battled in the third quarter and were tied up at 84 a piece with 3:44 to go before Iowa went on a 16-9 run to grab a 100-93 lead heading into the final quarter. Energy guard Patrick Christopher had 11 of his 25 points in the third.
Iowa's Moses Ehambe led the charge in the final quarter, scoring 12 of his game high 28 points in the fourth. Santa Cruz cut the lead to four with just under four minutes to play, but Iowa pulled away with the 133-120 victory. The Energy improve to 23-17 on the year as Santa Cruz falls to 25-18.
The Warriors were led by Nemanja Nedovic's 22 points. Lance Goulbourne finished the night with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Cameron Jones and Seth Curry each added 20 points.
The Energy were led by Ehambe's game high 28 points. Christopher had a great night, finishing with 25 points, 8 assists, and 7 rebounds. Stinson had 20 points, 12 assists, and 7 rebounds. Othyus Jeffers added 20 points.
The Energy will return to Wells Fargo Arena on Monday, March 17th at 7 PM to take on the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
