
Emi Ochoa Called to Mexico U-18 National Team

SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose Earthquakes goalkeeper Emi Ochoa has been called to the Mexico U-18 National Team for a training camp in Cork, Ireland from August 31 to September 9. The training camp will include two friendlies vs. the Ireland U-18 National Team on September 5 and September 7.
Ochoa, 16, signed a Homegrown Player contract with the Quakes ahead of the 2020 season, becoming the second-youngest player to sign a professional contract in Major League Soccer history at 14 years and 191 days.
Ochoa represented the United States at the U-14 and U-15 levels before representing Mexico at the U-16 level earlier this year. He has yet to make his professional debut for San Jose.
