FC Cincinnati Sign Midfielder Kyle Scott

CINCINNATI - FC Cincinnati have signed midfielder Kyle Scott to a contract through the end of the 2022 season, with options to extend through 2023 and 2024, the club announced today.

Scott is a product of the Chelsea Youth Academy, making 62 appearances for the Blues' U18, U23, and UEFA U19 squads during his time in Cobham. He made his professional debut for Chelsea in an FA Cup fifth round match against Hull City, a 4-0 Chelsea win at Stamford Bridge.

The 23-year-old from Bath, England spent the 2018-19 season on loan with SC Telstar in the Dutch Eerste Divisie, playing in 14 matches and scoring twice. He spent 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons with Newcastle United, appearing 17 times for the club's U23 side.

From 2013-2015, Scott made appearances for three different youth national teams, including the England U16, the Republic of Ireland U17, and the United States U18 and U20 squads. He holds dual nationality, England and the United States.

Scott also spent a period of time on trial with the Orange and Blue, this past offseason.

FC Cincinnati return to TQL Stadium on Saturday, September 4 against Inter Miami CF, with kickoff set for 8 p.m. ET.
