EUGENE, Ore. - The Eugene Emeralds open up their final homestand of the 2015 season with a five-game series against Spokane starting today at PK Park.
The Emeralds meet Spokane for five games before closing out their 2015 home schedule with a three-game series against Hillsboro.
The Emeralds (14-10, 31-31) lead the Northwest League South Division with a 14-10 second-half record. Eugene is one game up on Hillsboro and two games better than Salem in the standings. The winners of both divisions in the first half and the second half of the season advance to the NWL playoffs.
The Emeralds will feature a bunch of fantastic promotions to start the season's final homestand,
Sunday, Aug. 23 - Science Night
The science behind the game of baseball will be explained with videos on the jumbotron and interactive experiments on the concourse. It is also Levi's 501 Sunday, with $1 hot dogs and a 5:01 PM start time.
Monday, Aug. 24 - Good Karma Monday
Good Karma Monday, sponsored by Northwest Community Credit Union, lets fans name their own price for tickets. For Monday's game, half of the ticket proceeds will go to the Children's Miracle Network.
Tuesday, Aug. 25 - Hoppy Tuesday
Fans can enjoy discounted local craft beers and ciders from Ninkasi, Oakshire, Goodlife and 2 Towns.
Wednesday, Aug. 26 - Trick or Treat Night
Celebrate Halloween in August with Trick or Treat Night at PK Park. Prizes will be given to the best costume! Also, kids eat free every Wednesday with a hot dog, apple and soda for all children under 12.
Thursday, Aug. 27 - Portlandia Night
The buzz growing around Portlandia Night is reaching a fever pitch as the Emeralds will honor their wacky neighbors to the North with special plaid flannel uniform tops and "skinny jean" pants. The game-worn uniforms will be available to purchase with a silent auction during the game.
