Hops Look to End Season-Long 4 Game Slide
August 23, 2015 - Northwest League (NWL1)
Hillsboro Hops News Release
The Hillsboro Hops went 186 games between 4-game losing skids. They hadn't lost 4 consecutive games since July 17, 2013 in the inaugural half of the inaugural season in Hillsboro. It finally happened last night, as the Hops were swept by the last place Boise Hawks, and fell in the series finale against Salem-Keizer on 8/19.
The Hops will try to put it behind them tonight as they welcome the Northwest League North Division First Half Champion Tri-City Dust Devils to town for a five-game series. It could very well be a preview of the NWL Championship Series. First pitch this afternoon is at 4:05 PM with pregame radio beginning at 3:35 PM on Rip City Radio and at www.ripcityradio.com.
