The Jackals have gone 2-2-0 over their last four games but remain in first place in the Atlantic Division. Florida, meanwhile, has dropped three straight and six of its last seven and holds a record of 3-4-2. This week's games will be the only two between the Jackals and Everblades this season as Florida won't make a trip to the Twin Tiers.

Recapping Last Week:

11/2 at South Carolina: W 4-2

After surrendering the first goal of the game all season the Jackals battled back from an 0-2 hole to claim their sixth win of the season. Goals by Mike Hamilton (8:45) and Matt Pistilli (15:01) in the first period put South Carolina ahead. A brief power outage caused the first intermission to occur with 3:20 left in the first and the Jackals used that time to regroup. When the first resumed Brad Peltz netted his second pro goal with 1:41 left in the first to cut the deficit in half. The Jackals took control with a dominating second period that saw them out-shoot South Carolina 15-6 and collect a pair of goals. Dustin Gazley whipped home a one-timer from Andrew Rowe at 10:16 then a point shot on a power play from Kyle Bushee at 16:53 put Elmira in the driver's seat. Andrew Rowe potted an empty-net insurance marker at 19:19 of the third to salt away the win. Marc Cheverie earned his fourth win of the season with 22 stops.

11/3 at Gwinnett: L 1-3

Elmira's lone visit of the season to Gwinnett is one that the Jackals will try to forget. Elmira was held to a season-low 19 shots on goal and never led in the game. Gwinnett took the 1-0 lead late in the first on Casey Pierro-Zabotel's first goal of the night. Pierro-Zabotel doubled the lead in the second by deflecting a point shot by Sean Duddy over Maxime Clermont's right shoulder. Tony Lucia capped Gwinnett's scoring late in the second by picking up a rebound off of a shot that hit the end-zone glass and bounced back to the front of the net. Elmira tried to spark a comeback with a third-period goal by Jack Downing, but it never fully materialized. Clermont swatted away 25 shots in sustaining his first loss of the season. Elmira was limited to just one power play in the game and failed to score a power play goal for the first time this season.

Quick Hits:

* Despite being held without a power play goal for the first time this season in Gwinnett last Saturday, the Jackals are still second in power play percentage (34.4) and power play goals (11). They are also tops in penalty kill percentage (96.9) and power play goals allowed (1).

* Elmira's win on Friday over South Carolina was its 200th in the ECHL. The Jackals are the 32nd team in the history of the ECHL to reach that plateau. * Jimmy Martin leads the Jackals in +/- at +5. The second-year pro out of Yale has been even or better in every game except one and has been a season-best +2 twice. Brad Peltz has the single-game high for +/- at +5 in the 7-1 win over Greenville on October 13. .

* Elmira is the last team in the ECHL to play a road game this season. Last season Elmira was the second-best road team in the league with a 20-11-5 record. The 20 road wins set a club record during the Jackals' time in the ECHL.

* Dustin Gazley was held without a point for the second time this season in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Gwinnett Gladiators. He has recorded multi-point efforts in five of the Jackals' eight games this season. Elmira is 6-0-0 when Gazley records a point and 0-2-0 when he is held scoreless.

*The Jackals have been at their offensive best in the second period this season with 11 goals to their credit. They have out-scored opponents 11-6 in the second. Their goal total in the second ranks fourth in the league behind Colorado (18), Kalamazoo (13), Orlando (12), and Stockton (12).
