Elmira Jackals Trade Devos to Florida for Henrion

ELMIRA, N.Y. - January 14, 2014 - The Elmira Jackals announced today that they have acquired rookie forward John Henrion (hen-REE-on) from the Florida Everblades in exchange for Philip-Michael Devos.

Henrion, 22, has produced 13 points (5 goals, 8 assists) in 33 games with the Everblades. He has notched three multi-point games for Florida including three assists on October 25 at Ontario and two goals on October 29 at Las Vegas. Listed at 5-foot-11, 205 pounds, Henrion joined the Everblades after finishing his four-year collegiate career at the University of New Hampshire. With the Wildcats he procured 66 points (35 goals, 31 assists) and 86 penalty minutes in 142 games. Last year, as a senior, Henrion tied for the team lead, and set a career best, with 15 goals in 39 games.

Henrion is expected to join the Jackals in Cincinnati and be available to play Thursday night against the Cyclones.

Devos heads to Florida after logging nine points (1 goal, 8 assists) in 18 games for the Jackals.
