Reading's Anderson Named CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Brandon Anderson of the Reading Royals is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the week of Jan. 6-12.
The 21-year-old went 4-0-0 with one shutout, a 1.25 goals-against average and a save percentage of .952 last week.
Anderson turned aside 23 shots in a 6-2 win against Wheeling on Wednesday, made 18 saves in a 4-1 victory at Elmira on Friday, had 28 saves in a 4-2 win against the Jackals on Saturday and turned aside all 30 shots he faced in a 3-0 victory over Elmira on Sunday.
A native of Langley, British Columbia, Anderson has appeared in 15 games with the Royals this season posting a record of 8-6-1 with two shutouts, a 2.73 goals-against average and a save percentage of .896.
Under contract to the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League, Anderson is 14-12-2 with four shutouts, a 2.96 goals-against average and a save percentage of .885 in 31 career appearances with Reading.
Prior to turning pro, Anderson saw action in 138 games in the Western Hockey League with Brandon and Lethbridge.
