ELMIRA, N.Y. - March 22, 2013 - The Elmira Jackals announced today that they have signed Eric Delong (de-LONG) to an amateur tryout out of Sacred Heart University.
Delong, a 24-year-old forward, joins the Jackals for the stretch run after finishing his senior season as the leading scorer for the Pioneers with 32 points (13G, 19A) in 36 games. At Sacred Heart he potted 118 points (46G, 72A) in 143 games. A two-time captain at Sacred Heart, Delong was named Third-Team All-Conference in the American Hockey Association this season.
