Ellerby Named To Canadian AHL All-Star Team

(Rochester, December 19)... Rochester Americans defenseman Keaton Ellerby has been named to the Canadian team for the 2010 Time Warner Cable AHL All-Star Classic, which will be held January 18th -19th at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, Maine.

In his second season with Rochester, the Strathmore, Alberta, native has registered 15 points (6+9) in 32 games with the Amerks. The 6-foot-4, 186-pound blueliner was Florida's first-round selection (10th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. The 21 year old has also received two recalls by the Panthers this season.

Rochester kicks off its week on the road against the Hamilton Bulldogs on Wednesday, December 30th at Copps Coliseum. The 7:30 p.m. contest will be carried live on SportsRadio 1280 WHTK and FM 107.3, Rochester's Sports Talk. Rochester is 3-0-1-0 this season after outscoring Hamilton 17-10 through the previous four encounters.

The 2010 Time Warner Cable AHL All-Star Classic will feature the 2010 AHL All-Star Skills Competition on Monday, January 18th (8:00 p.m. ET) and the 2010 AHL All-Star Game on Tuesday, January 19th (6:00 p.m. ET), and will be televised live nationally in the United States and Canada.
