Eickhoff Set for IronPigs Debut

RHP Jerad Eickhoff will make his team debut for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs who will look to make it two in a row over the Toledo Mud Hens on Tuesday night at Fifth Third Field. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.

Eickhoff-who was acquired from the Rangers as part of the Cole Hamels trade-was 9-4 with a 4.25 ERA in 18 G, 17 GS with Triple-A Round Rock this season. His last outing in the PCL came on Wednesday vs. Omaha when he allowed just two hits while fanning three over five shutout innings.

LHP Mike Belfiore (5-9, 5.34) gets the ball for the Mud Hens on Tuesday night. The southpaw got the win on Wednesday vs. Rochester after giving up two runs on eight hits to go along with four walks and three strikeouts in 5.2 IP. Belfiore has allowed two earned runs or less in four of his last five starts. In his career against Lehigh Valley, the Huntington, N.Y. native is 2-0 with a 1.45 ERA in 6 G (1 GS).

With a pair of home runs on Tuesday night, Pigs C Erik Kratz notched the fourth multi-HR game of his professional career and the first since he accomplished the feat with the Kansas City Royals on August 18, 2014. It was also the first muiti-home run game by an IronPigs player this season.
