Edwin Rodriguez drove in three and scored the fourth Cutters run in Williamsport s 4-1 win over Mahoning Valley.
Rodriguez finished the night 2 for 4 with a double, triple, a run scored and three RBI. Madison Stokes recorded a three-hit night, going 3 for 4 with three singles and two runs scored. Rafael Marchan finished the night 2 for 4 with a pair of doubles and a run scored.
Jhordany Mezquita allowed one run over 4.1 innings of work, on four hits, one walk and striking out five. Rafael Carvajal took the win, working 2,2 scoreless frames, striking out five batters. Keylan Killgore earned his 5th save, working two scoreless frames, striking out a batter.
The Crosscutters are now 8-12 on the road this season and have posted a 11-19 record against the Pinckney division this season. They are 9.5 games back of Mahoning Valley in the Pinckney division chase with eight more games against the Scrappers this season.
