
ECHL All-Star skills competition recap

FRESNO, CA - The National Conference defeated the American Conference 15-8 at the 2006 ECHL All-Star Skills Competition on Tuesday night at the Save Mart Center.
The competition featured the two conferences squaring off in the following categories: team puck control relay, individual puck control relay, fastest skater, hardest shot, rapid fire shooting, accuracy shooting and a breakaway team relay.
Everblades players Ernie Hartlieb, Chris Lee and Dan Sisca, who are all making their first All-Star Game appearance, represented the American Conference in the competitions. Hartlieb, who will be a starter for the American Conference team during the All-Star Game, participated in the hardest shot competition registering the seventh hardest shot at 87.7 MPH. Hartlieb also competed in the breakaway relay, missing his shot attempt against former Everblades and current Las Vegas Wranglers goaltender Marc Magliarditi.
Lee and Sisca each participated in the fastest skater and the breakaway relay competitions. Lee registered the second fastest time of 14.747 seconds while Sisca turned in the fourth fastest time at 14.804 seconds. In the breakaway relay competition, Lee missed his shot against Stockton's Jake Moreland, and Sisca scored in his attempt against Fresno's Brett Jaeger.
With the victory, the National Conference has defeated the American Conference in the past two skills competitions. Magliarditi was named the Outstanding Goaltender for the comepetition.
The 2006 Bud Light ECHL All-Star Game will take place at 10:00 p.m. eastern time on Wednesday, January 25 from Fresno, CA. The game will be televised live on the NHL Center Ice Package, with a rebroadcast of the game on Thursday, January 26 beginning at 5:00 p.m. eastern time on the OLN network. In addition, this year's All-Star Game will carried live by XM Satellite Radio.
The Everblades return to action on Friday, January 27 when they host the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:30 p.m. from Germain Arena. Everblades half season, group tickets, and individual game tickets are on sale now!
