Steelheads at All-Star Game tonight

BOISE, Idaho - Three Idaho Steelheads players will join the ECHL's best on the ice tonight as the Fresno Falcons host the 2006 Bud Light ECHL All-Star Game at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California.

Steelheads forwards, captain D'Arcy McConvey, league-leading scorer Garett Bembridge and rookie defenseman Mike Gabinet, will showcase their talents on the National Conference roster and go up against the leaders in the American Conference. The Steelheads will also be represented on the bench by Khris Bestel, the Steelheads' equipment manager, who was selected in a vote of his peers.

The All-Star Game, which is being televised live across North America on NHL Network and NHL Center Ice, as well as on America One TV Network (check www.americaone.com for channel listings), begins at 8:00 p.m. MT.

The game can be heard live locally on EPSN Radio KTIK-The Ticket and XM Radio HOME ICE XM 204 at in the United States on XM Radio and in Canada through XM's partner, Canadian Satellite Radio, on Channel 204. In addition, the game will be rebroadcast by OLN on January 26th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. MT.

The ECHL, in association with Yahoo! Broadcast, is also making the telecast available online with live broadband video for the fourth year in a row. The live broadcast video requires a minimum connection speed of 100 Kbytes and Real Player. Dial-up customers will be able to listen to the radio broadcast on Yahoo! Broadcast, marking the eighth consecutive year that Yahoo! has carried the ECHL All-Star Game audio broadcast live on the Internet. The links are:

The Steelheads (47-points) will look to gain ground in their division when they return home Friday night for a three-game series (Friday, Saturday and Monday) against the West Division-leading Las Vegas Wranglers (64-points).
