Titans add Selig to roster

TRENTON, NJ (November 7, 2005) - The Trenton Titans announced on Wednesday that they have agreed to terms with right wing Scott Selig for the remainder of the 2005-06 season.

Selig, 24, will make his season debut on Friday when the Titans visit the Wheeling Nailers. The 6-2, 200-pounder began his professional career last season with the Oklahoma City Blazers of the Central Hockey League (CHL), totaling 2 goals, 7 assists and 36 penalty minutes over 30 games.

Prior to joining the Blazers, Selig played four years of collegiate hockey at Northeastern University (2000-04). The native of Danbury, Massachusetts compiled 29 points (13, 16a) and 94 penalty minutes in 106 games for the Huskies. Selig was originally drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in sixth round (172nd overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.

In a separate transaction goaltender Rejean Beauchemin has been assigned by the American Hockey League's Philadelphia Phantoms.

The 20-year old rookie netminder has posted a 3-6-1 record for Trenton with a 3.01 GAA and a .905 save percentage. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the sixth round (191st overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
