Eberle Returns to Mallards

MOLINE, Ill. (November 9, 2015) - Forward Tanner Eberle have been assigned to the Quad City Mallards by the American Hockey League's Iowa Wild, the Mallards announced today.

Eberle, 21, returns to the Mallards after being recalled by the Wild last week and playing for Iowa against Lake Erie Saturday night and yesterday. The 5' 11", 185-pound Regina, Saskatchewan, native has played a total of five AHL games this season. Eberle has scored three goals and added three assists in six games with the Mallards this year.

Eberle broke into the professional ranks last spring with the Allen Americans, for whom he recorded two goals and two assists in five games before moving up to the AHL with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers for a half dozen games.

Prior to turning pro, Eberle skated for the Western Hockey League's Moose Jaw Warriors for four full seasons and part of a fifth campaign. Last season Eberle had 33 goals, 23 assists and 56 points- along with 99 penalty minutes- in 63 games with Moose Jaw. He registered 80 goals and 91 assists for 171 points in 270 career WHL games.

The Mallards next play at home Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. against the Alaska Aces. Wednesday is also Military Appreciation Night. The Mallards will wear special edition VFW jerseys during Wednesday night's game and all current and former military personnel and their families can purchase tickets to that contest for just $5.
